Position: Warehouse Lead 

Term: Full Time Permanent (35 hours weekly)

Location: Coal and Canary Head Office, Winnipeg, MB

Pay: $18 per hour + benefits (after 3 months)

Start Date: ASAP

 

Coal and Canary is looking for a permanent Warehouse Lead who lives the Coal and Canary lifestyle to assist in candle production and order fulfillment! Your role as Warehouse Lead will be to lead the production team in all stages of candle production including pouring, packaging, inventory and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all stages of candle production including pouring, packaging, labeling, inventory, and retail/wholesale order fulfillment.

  • Pack and process shipments efficiently and accurately.

  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels, communicating needs as necessary.

  • Order ingredients and production materials, maintaining communication with suppliers.

  • Set production goals and inventory targets.

  • Supervise and lead the production team with strong leadership skills.

  • Increase efficiencies and reorganize the warehouse as needed for optimal utilization.

  • Oversee the shipping department and provide assistance as needed.

  • Receive and unpack inventory from suppliers.

  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean workspace.

  • Assist with other office duties as required.

 

 

Education/Experience

   • 2+ years’ experience in Warehouse Production or similar role preferred

  • Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.

  • Excellent multitasking skills.

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in team leadership is an asset.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • High level of energy and optimism.

  • Strong willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.

  • Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.

  • Strong appreciation and understanding of the Coal and Canary brand.

  • Willingness to work off-hours during peak seasons.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs (wax is heavy!).

  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time.

 

 

Authority: 

• Reports directly to the Owner
